AT & T Warner Media announced on Tuesday that the HBO Max broadcast service will start on May 27, indicating that so-called flow wars will not decrease due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Warner Media had previously said that HBO Max will debut in May, and has held onto these plans despite the fact that part of its planned schedule has already been postponed due to an outbreak.
HBO Max will be among the most expensive broadcast services at $ 14.99 per month. But Warner Media expects a deep library of HBO results, including Game of Thrones and Succession; popular DC Comics like Wonder Woman and The Dark Knight; and successful TV shows like Friends and South Park will be enough to attract viewers facing a host of broadcast options.
The new original programming will also be part of HBO Max, although the epidemic has delayed the popular meeting of special friends.

New Shows Love Life, a comedy film written by Anna Kendrick, includes a series of dance competition in the legendary underground ballroom; new animations of Looney Tunes and The Not Too Late Show from Sesame Workshop with Elmo.
Warner Media said it will also direct some movies directly to HBO Max. The first will be the documentary "On the Record", on women who accused the hip-hop mogul Russell Simons of sexual assault and harassment.

Simmons denied the allegations. Shortly before the Sundance Film Festival premiered earlier this year, former executive producer Oprah Winfrey, along with Apple TV Plus released the film.
"I am surprised by the breadth and depth of our new offering," Robert Greenblatt, president of Warner Media Entertainment and direct consumer, said on Tuesday.

AT&T aims to have HBO Max reach 80 million subscribers worldwide and 50 million in the U.S. by 2025. (HBO currently has about 35 million subscribers).

Netflix, the broadcast leader said on Tuesday that it had reached 183 million subscriptions worldwide, an increase of almost 16 million in 2020. In about six months since its launch, Disney Plus has collected more than 50 million subscribers, far ahead of Walt's offers Disney.

It is unclear if the moment was aided or hurt by HBO Max. While the public increased the flow of services with many isolated families, the record increase in unemployment would make the cost of HBO Max higher for some.

There are more and more streaming options, including the recently released Apple TV-Plus and the small Quibi. In July, NBC Universal will introduce Peacock, a streaming service that plans to offer a free, ad-supported option.

HBO Max will offer around 10,000 hours of programming, based on brands from, including Warner Bros Studio and a movie studio. Turner Networks including CNN, TNT, TBS, Turner Classic Movies and Cartoon Network; and others. AT&T hopes to attract over 100 million mobile subscribers and benefit from previous subscribers.

Those who subscribe to HBO through AT&T DirecTV, U-Verse and AT&T TV will get HBO Max for free.

Prior to the launch of HBO Max, Warner Media modified its CEO list and appointed the former CEO of Hulu Jason Kilar as CEO.
