The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government enacted a decree to ensure the smooth supply of daily food and check checks throughout the province.

Government spokesman Ajmal Wazir told reporters that 30 consumer goods had been listed and that their compounds would be arrested without a warrant and would be sent to prison for three years.

He said that the decree enables MPs to attack suspicious warehouses without prior permission, while the identity of those who provide information about the accumulators will be kept confidential.

A minister said that seven of Covid's 19 patients had lost their lives in the past 24 hours.
He said the number of deaths from the new coronavirus in the region was 74, while 1,276 residents showed negative results for the virus and 39 of these cases were reported in the past 24 hours.

The spokesman said the patient could transmit the virus to his family, which could affect an entire region.

He said the government is using all available resources to protect people from the coronavirus.

A minister said that about 520 Pakistanis had returned from Afghanistan and had all been isolated in the Landi Kotal and Shah Kass districts to test Coved 19.

He said that the quarantine centers are equipped and that the people who stay in them have all the necessary facilities.


The spokesman said that those who were found to be passive to the virus would be repatriated, while confirmed cases would be followed up.

On the claim by Sindh Prime Minister Sind Murad Ali Shah, when three confirmed cases of KP COVID-19 arrived in his province, a minister said it was not the time to gain political points.

The three people could have contracted the virus on their way to Sindh he said.

The spokesman said the government had taken the province's COVID-19 test capacity from 20 to 1,000 a day.
