Kate Middleton and Queen praised healthcare workers around the world and thanked them for their efforts during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Duchess of Cambridge joined the Queen to honor healthcare workers worldwide on International Nurses Day.

The nurses have had a very important role recently, while Kate contacted hospitals in seven different countries, the queen said in a video message posted by Kensington Palace. The gestures were in honor of International Nurses Day, which takes place every May 12 - Florence Nightingale's birthday.



The Duchess of Cambridge contacted nurses from all over the world, including Australia, Malawi Cyprus, Sierra Leone The Bahamas, India and London.

Last year, she underwent two days of work experience at the Kingston Maternity Unit in an attempt to learn more about the NHS.
