It turned out that a senior FBI official appointed by the Sugar Commission to investigate the affairs of the main sugar factory, owned by influential families and political individuals is a suspected mole under investigation.

The official was also removed from the mission and suspended. Prime Minister Imran Khan has been informed of this development amid a warning that this measure may create some problems for the PTI government by the political family that participates in the sugar factory.

Informed sources said that the official, an additional director of the FIA, not only leaked classified information from the committee to the owners of the sugar factory, but was misleading the sugar committee with incorrect information on behalf of the sugar factories the owners of dexterity.

The official headed one of several teams, made up of the Sugar Committee, to carry out various tasks related to his work. The commission is said to have brought these investigation teams under senior officials in grade 19-20 from various departments, including FIA, SECP, Anti-Corruption Department, etc.

The team led by the Additional Director General of the FIA was managing the forensic review of the sugar plant owned by some influential figures, including a well-connected business magnate and a political family related to the current political landscape and critical to the future of the PTI government.

During the investigation period, it was discovered that the additional director's work did not reach the zero point, and some clear information, regarding the designated the sugar factory was not sent to the Sugar Committee. The feedback from the team led by the FIA's additional director regarding the private sugar plant was different from the results of other teams investigating the other sugar factories.

On suspicion of this, the commission requested the assistance of some intelligence agencies which submitted the report alleging that the additional director of the Financial Intelligence Agency was committed and working for the sugar factory.

The officer was alleged to have leaked classified information from the Commission's work to factory owners. It also requested the owners of the sugar factory to delay providing them with the required data requested by the authority.
