Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has scheduled 23 special flights to return stranded Pakistanis from the United Kingdom, China, Algeria, Dubai and Indonesia from April 18 to 20.

Special flights will operate from Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad and Peshawar, although the international flight process has not been fully resumed. The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said it was a limited flight.

The Aviation Department spokesman said that due to the limited quarantine of passengers who land at the Islamabad airport, a limited number of flights have been identified for other major cities, as quarantine facilities will be used in those cities.
CAA has already released its revised standard operating procedures for international flights to ensure passenger and crew safety and reduce risks associated with Covid-19, as all passengers and crew will be subject to a minimum of seven days. Quarantine period upon arrival in Pakistan and this period can be extended to 14 days depending on the results.

On April 18, the Pakistan Airways private flight PK-785 will operate from Islamabad to London Heathrow Airport. Another PIA PK-701 will depart from Islamabad to Manchester, Islamabad PK-785 to Heathrow, and PIA PK-203 in Lahore to Dubai.
Another Pakistan News Agency (PIA) said that another PK-213 flight will depart for Dubai from Karachi. While another PK224 flight will arrive from Dubai to Jinnah International Airport on April 19.

On April 19, Pakistan Airlines flight PK-8220 will leave for Dubai from Islamabad, while Pakistan Airways PK-8221 return flight will arrive at Multan Airport from Dubai on the same day.

Pakistan International Airlines flight PK-8223 will depart from Islamabad to Dubai and leave Dubai for Faisalabad on April 19.

According to the schedule, the Pakistan Airlines flight PK203 will depart for Dubai from Lahore and the PK-204 Pakistanis stranded in the United Arab Emirates will be returned to Lahore. On April 20, Pakistan Airlines flight PK-221 will operate from Karachi to Dubai and PK-208 will return from Dubai to Karachi.

Another Pakistan News Agency (PIA) said that another flight PK-8222 will operate from Multan to Dubai and the PK-8223 will return to Multan from Dubai on April 20. According to the sources, the eight Chinese experts were subjected to medical examinations and medical controls by medical personnel from the Civil Aviation Authority in accordance with standard operating procedures to determine the health condition of passengers before boarding.

However, no suspected cases of Covid-19 have been reported. Later, the China Southern Airlines flight Czechoslovakia-6008 left for Urumqi at around 1530 hours.
On Friday, the British High Commission released details of the charter flights, which are scheduled to transport 2,500 Britons stranded to the UK. The mission said in a statement that 10 charter flights would transport 2,500 British passengers from Islamabad and Lahore to London and Manchester.

Flights from Islamabad to London are scheduled to start on April 21-23. Islamabad to Manchester from April 24 to 27; from Lahore to London on April 22 and 24, and from Lahore to Manchester on April 26.

No flights have been selected from Karachi to United Kingdom. These flights, which are operated by Qatar Airways, are expected to cost £ 527 per passenger, free of charge for passengers under two years of age, and are for UK travelers who usually reside in the UK and their immediate dependents.
