The Pakistani-Kuwaiti Investment Company announced that it has donated 10 million rupees to the Prime Minister's Fund for Coronary Virus Relief, according to a statement issued by the Development Finance Corporation.
The company, a joint venture between the governments of Pakistan and Kuwait, welcomed the fundraising initiative taken by Prime Minister Imran Khan to help support the poor and disadvantaged in the country in the midst of the Coronavirus crisis. The company also offered to support the initiative wholeheartedly.
Earlier this month, Prime Minister Imran Khan's coronavirus relief fund exceeded the mark of Rs 3 billion. The fund was created last month to deal with the ongoing health crisis that has devastated the economy.
Prime Minister Imran has asked citizens to send their tax-deductible contributions to Account No. 4162786786 established at the main branch of the National Bank of Pakistan in Karachi.
Describing this initiative as an unprecedented initiative and evaluating people's charitable lives, the Prime Minister said that Pakistanis donate like any other country in the world. He pointed to the earthquakes and floods that caused a lot of damage in the country, but it did not affect people's desire to help.
